International name : Fomitopsis betulina (previously Piptoporus betulinus)
This mushroom grows only on birch trees. It has been used as a tonic for the immune system, as an antiseptic to clean wounds and promote healing. Bitter in flavor, it can be brewed into a tea or infused.
Wild harvested in Québec.
Instructions : Simmer in water for at least 1 hour. Dilute according to taste. Consume hot or cold.
Recommended dosage : 5g daily.
